On Monday, May 23, Westercon 64 Chairman Glenn Glazer, joined by committee members David Clark and Kevin Standlee, appeared on Bay Area radio station KFJC 89.7 FM program Thoughtline with host Robert Emmett to talk about what’s going to be happening at Westercon this summer. We have their permission to include a recording of the interview here on our web site.

On June 1, membership rates in Westercon 64 increase to $75 for an attending membership. That will also be the price at the door. Single-day admissions will also be available at the door only; see the Registration page for details. If you expect to attend Westercon for more than one day, it’s cheaper to register now for $65 than to wait and pay more at the door. We will also be selling memberships at our table at BayCon. Save money and buy your membership in advance!
Although Westercon 64 is not operating a hotel roommate-matching service, we have put up a Room Sharing page where persons looking for a room-sharing arrangement can post comments offering or asking for a room match. Of course, Westercon 64 takes no responsibility for any room-sharing arrangements made through our website or elsewhere, and individuals are responsible for their own hotel arrangements.
The deadline for advertising in the Westercon 64 Souvenir Book is May 15, 2011.
The official Westercon 64 T-Shirt, designed by Phil and Kaja Foglio, is now available for order online. Previously only available at our staffed fan tables at other conventions, now you can order yours for $20 from OffWorld Designs, Westercon 64’s official merchandise vendor. We also have a couple of our committee (including our web team) at Eastercon in Birmingham, England, but we won’t be staffing a table there.
We now have a Program Participant Page listing confirmed program participants as provided by our Programming team. Programming appearances are, of course, subject to change without notice. We’ll update the Participant List as necessary.
Remember that our Programming team does not necessarily monitor every comment posted here. Contact them with Programming-related questions. We’ll forward questions posted here on the web site to Programming, but that may delay your response.
